This is just a reminder that our Spring Break runs from March 27 through March 31st. Classes will resume on Monday, April 3rd at 8am. We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable vacation!
Don't forget! Tomorrow is our Kindergarten Round-up event! From 3:30-5:30 we encourage all families of Kindergarten aged children to stop in and see what we have to offer. Prospective students will take part in readiness assessments and hands-on activites, plus, they get to pick a book to take home with them! Our Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bartnick and several other staff members will be on site to answer any questions that you may have. Students must be 5 by September 1, 2017. If you have a student that will be 5 between September 2 and December 1, please stop in and talk to us. If you have any questions, call our office at 231-584-2080. We hope to see you there!

Hey Parents! Summer will be here before we know it and Lake Superior State has once again given us slots for summer camps!


The Fine Arts/STEAM (ScienceTechnlogyEngineeringArts,Math) camp is open to those students entering 7th and 8th grades this fall and open's your students mind to the arts and academics. It will be held on July 10-13th and there may be limited transportation provided.

TheCareer Exploration and Leadership Campis open to those entering grades 10,11 or 12 and runs from June 26th-30th. Students can explore such fields as Forensics, Criminal Justice, Business or Pre-Med all while having fun up on the LSSU campus. Limited transportation is also provided for this camp as well.

These camps are a great opportunity to meet other students and combine learning and fun over a few days. If you have a student in good academic standing who would like to attend one of these camps or would like more information, please contact Anne Wendling in the office as soon as possible. There are LIMITED SLOTS AVAILABLE. All applications are due by Friday, April 21st.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, March 17, is a half day for students. Dismissal is at 12:15 p.m., with buses departing the school at 12:25 p.m.
Ms. Monroe's Middle School Science class had a sweet time yesterday while they learned about Pi and cells. The class used cupcakes to perform mathmatical calculations and create a diagram of a cell. As Ms. Monroe said, "we killed two birds with one cupcake!"

The NCA PTO is holding an emergency meeting on Wednesday, March 15 at 4:30 p.m. after the 3rd-6th grade field trip meeting.
This meeting will determine if the PTO will disband and allocate remaining funds, due to a lack of PTO membership. Do you have a soon-to-be Kindergartener, or know someone who does? Spread the news, and join us for our Kindergarten round-up event on Thursday, March 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m! Kindergarten enrollees get to take part in Kindergarten readiness assessments and fun hands-on activities, plus, they can pick out a book to take home with them!

This is a great opportunity to meet our stellar Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bartnick and learn about our Kindergarten program. North Central Academy is the highest ranking school in the area based on the most recent state wide rankings by the Michigan Department of Education. Being rated in the top 25% of schools in the state has generated a growing interest in our programs. Class slots will fill up quickly, so please bring the following documents with you to complete your student's registration at the round-up event!

  • Current Immunization Record
  • Child's Social Security Card
  • State Issued Parent or Guardian Photo I.D.
  • Proof of Residency of Parent or Guardian

Class slots are filled on a first-come, first serve basis. A slot is not guaranteed until we have received a completed registration packet. Our enrollment specialists will be on-site to answer any questions you may have while completing the registration process.
